It is written to be accurate about what this website actually does, and it follows the structure the ICO expects. It is not legal advice, and it has not been reviewed by a solicitor or a data protection specialist. Items shown as [to confirm] are details the business has not finalised yet.

Who is responsible for your data

Deskload is a trading name of Amir Tihad, an independent consultancy based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK GDPR, Amir Tihad is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

What this website collects

This site does not use analytics, advertising, social media pixels, session recording or any other tracking. It sets no cookies and loads no fonts, scripts or images from third parties. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

The only personal data collected is what you type into the enquiry form:

  • Your name
  • Your company name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, if you provide one
  • Approximate company size
  • What you write about the work you would like help with
  • Your estimate of hours spent on it, if you provide one
  • Your preferred contact method

The form also records how long the page was open before submission. This is used only to detect automated submissions and is discarded once the enquiry is processed.

The interactive demo

The demo runs entirely in your browser. Anything you type into it is processed locally on your own device and is never transmitted to this site or to any other service. Nothing is stored. Please still avoid pasting real customer information into it.

Why we process it, and the lawful basis

Your enquiry is processed to reply to you and to work out whether we might work together. The lawful basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — specifically, responding to a business enquiry that you initiated. The confirmation box on the form records that you understood this; it is not itself the lawful basis, so withdrawing it does not affect the lawfulness of processing already carried out.

If we go on to work together, a separate agreement will cover any personal data involved in that work, and in that context Deskload usually acts as a processor on your instructions rather than as a controller.

Who else sees it

Your enquiry is handled by Amir Tihad alone. It is not sold, shared for marketing, or passed to any third party for their own purposes. The following service providers process data on our behalf as part of running the site and the mailbox:

  • Website hosting and delivery: Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages)
  • Enquiry delivery: Resend, which forwards form submissions to the mailbox below
  • Email mailbox: [mailbox provider to confirm]

These providers operate outside the UK, which means your data may be transferred internationally. Each publishes transfer safeguards — UK IDTA or the UK Addendum to the EU SCCs, as published by each provider — and the current terms should be checked before relying on this notice.

How long it is kept

  • Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months from your last contact, then deleted.
  • Enquiries that lead to work: retained for the duration of the engagement and then as long as required for tax and accounting records — currently six years from the end of the relevant accounting period.
  • Submissions identified as automated spam: discarded without being stored.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask what personal data is held about you and get a copy of it
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have data erased in certain circumstances
  • restrict or object to processing, including objecting to legitimate interests
  • ask for data to be transferred to you or another provider in a portable format

If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office atico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or by calling 0303 123 1113. Raising it with us first is appreciated but not required.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS with a restrictive content security policy. Enquiry data is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in an access-controlled mailbox protected by multi-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but the practical measures in place are proportionate to the small amount of low-sensitivity data involved.

Changes

Any material change to this notice will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
